About Me
Estelle Riley is a photographer based in Falmouth, Cornwall, focusing on the natural environment and how she can visually express climate stories and issues. Growing up surrounded by Lancashire moorland, she has always had a fascination for all things wild. But, she felt drawn to the coast and relocated to commit to further education, with her passion for photography and the inner workings of nature in mind. Practicing in Marine & Natural History Photography at Falmouth University, her latest work involves themes of ocean activism and plastic pollution.
Her focus is on the representation of material debris in the sea and the mass accumulation of plastic in the world’s oceans and how she can create thought-provoking work that reflects this message. Estelle aims to show these daunting environmental issues in a beautiful, satisfying way to encourage people to act.
